Use the Following guide to learn how to utilise the functionality of the Rectangle Tools in Adobe Illustrator:
1) There are 6 Types of Tool under the rectangle Tool, but the means by which they function are a constant, therefore the first three will be shown.
2) First Select the Rectangle Tool. Click and drag to create the rectangle. Hold Shift while dragging if you want to create a square.
3)The Fill and Stroke Colours may be changed as shown. (make sure to Double Click)
4) The Ellipse tool functions in the same manner. Click and Drag to create an ellipse, and hold Shift while doing so for a perfect circle.
5) Rounded Rectangles/Squares may be created in the same manner also.Rounded Rectangles/Squares may be created in the same manner also.
6) The Radius at the corners may be altered using the direct selection tool. Select the respective nodes, and use the arrow keys to move them.
7) The Bézier Handles which appear may also be manipulated by merely selecting them with the mouse.
8) The functionality of the other "Rectangle" tools remains the same as the three shown in this tutorial.
